The Sunshine Foundation at Rob’s Place, was created to serve individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities.. We provide a place where they can continue to have meaningful and productive lives by learning, socializing, being creative, & volunteering in their community after graduation. Our non-profit foundation helps us with funding needed for clients waiting on their waiver, supplies, outings, & in the near future we hope to be able to provide a wheelchair accessible mini bus for more opportunities for all of the people we serve.

The Sunshine Foundation was started in 2022, just 2 years after the opening of Rob's Place in Forsyth. Rob's Place was started after the realization that after graduating, adults with intellectual and developmental disabilites were stuck at home with nothing to do and no-where to go. In April 2020, Rob's Place opened it's doors with only 2-3 clients and now, in 2023 we have served over 30+ individuals ranging from age 13-72. Rob's Place provides a safe enviroment for adults with IDD to build friendships, expand their learning and volunteer in the community each week.
Rob’s Place, & our non profit The Sunshine Foundation at Rob’s Place, was created to serve individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities.
We could not do any of this without our generous community.
